Member of Coldwater Michigan Lodge #1023, Ed has been an Elk since 1976, serving as Michigan State President in 1999-2000.
An expert with CLMS, he wrote the CLMS operating manual for Lodge Secretaries and currently serves as a Super CLMS Coordinator throughout Area 4, which now includes Virginia.
In addition, Ed serves as the Area 4 representative on the Grand Lodge Public Relations Committee and serves as a Special Representative to several Michigan Lodges, working closely with District and State Officials. In 2017, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by President Obama for his volunteer service to our Order. Ed and his wife, Penny, are a terrific team and enjoy traveling throughout Elkdom to share their knowledge and expertise.
Penny Geishert – Penny, a Past Exalted Ruler of the Coldwater, Michigan Lodge, has served as Lodge Secretary for seventeen years. She has also served as District Secretary for twelve years and served as chairman of several District and State Committees. Penny has been a CLMS Coordinator since its release, teaming with her husband, Ed, to educate and assist Lodges throughout Area 4. Penny is currently serving as Michigan’s first female State Trustee and during Grand Lodge Conventions, she works with the Grand Secretary’s Office writing, editing and publishing the Daily Newsletter. We are extremely fortunate to have this powerful “Elks Team” at our VEA Fall convention to share their knowledge of the new Financial Accounting System.
